About Us

About Us

Established in January 2018

We are located in the Wolseley area of Winnipeg which is known for its beautiful elm trees. Winnipeg is recognized as the largest urban elm forest in North America.

Trees are known for their ability to shade us, feed us, shelter us, and give us clean air to breathe. They also provide us with a beautiful analogy for life in which we transform through the changes each season brings.

The elm tree, in particular, grows deep roots, a tall stature, and broad foliage. Its wood is able to bend with the wind and is resistant to splitting and breaking.  The elm tree is thought to hold both good and bad in balance and harmony. It represents strength, stability, foundation, vulnerability, sensibility, creativity, and flexibility.

The purpose of Elm Forest Therapy is to offer individuals the highest quality mental health and wellness services to address areas of concern, strength, and connectedness.  We offer these services to individuals, families, and the larger community through individual and group work with practitioners who are highly trained in health and wellness.

We are constantly striving to improve our professional competence through education, training, and consultation to provide high-quality care through best treatment practices within our areas of expertise. Each of our clinical staff experiences ownership of their own practice within the framework of our shared corporate identity.

We offer a place where your voice will be heard in a compassionate and confidential atmosphere where you can discuss personal concerns and explore ways to work through challenges and problems in a healthy manner. We honour all backgrounds, ages, and walks of life and are committed to providing acceptance, compassion, and support to all who walk through our doors.
